Porcelain ‘Landscape’ brush vessel, Qing dynasty

Modelled and enamelled porcelain. It has a broad, flat circular foot, followed by a deep body with a curved profile that tapers subtly towards the mouth, which ends in a thick rounded rim. The exterior depicts a continuous scene of a calm landscape in which a lake flows, surrounded by steep mountains, lush trees and small traditional buildings. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
