Porcelain vase pink family ‘Chickens and Chickens’, Qing dynasty

A small porcelain vase with enamelled decoration in blue, orange, yellow and purple on a glaze. It has a circular base and a slender body with a curved profile, which narrows at the neck adorned with a globular section that ends in a flaring mouth. It is decorated with overlapping stripes of floral, geometric and elongated banana-leaf patterns, and a large central scene of a beautiful landscape full of flowers and rocks, where a family of roosters, hens and small chicks play happily. With an underglaze blue four-character stamp on the base ‘同冶年製’.
