Qilin bronze censer

A gilded bronze tripod censer. It has a circular base supported by three curved feet. The circular, curved body is narrow at the neck and mouth. On both sides are two wide, rising handles decorated in the form of ruyi clouds. The lid is concave and decorated with openwork clouds with incised details on which rests the coiled figure of a Qilin beast, with its head raised and its jaws open, revealing its sharp tongue. 20th century.
