Quadrangular ‘Scene’ vase, Qing dynasty

A beautifully glazed ceramic vase with details in blue on a white ground. It has a slender quadrangular body that widens at the shoulders, flanked by two handles modelled in relief, and narrows at the neck, finally forming a flaring mouth. Adorned by a continuous scene of a beautiful landscape filled with nature, with tall trees and steep mountains surrounding a calm lake, crossed by a small bridge.
