Red-glazed porcelain vase, Qing dynasty

A stylized porcelain vase with a circular base and a small flared foot. It has a balustraded profile, widest at the shoulders, above which is a slender neck crowned by a bulbous mouth. The exterior is covered with a beautiful deep-red glaze with subtle purple flecks, contrasting with the soft cream-coloured interior.
