Shoushan double stamp, 20th century

A pair of carved shoushang stone seals of a deep reddish hue, decorated with two mythical beasts in the upper area, with intimidating expressions of large eyes and gaping jaws; their bodies are covered with scales, with a large horn crowning the head and a tail curled around the hindquarters. The two beasts are linked by a chain of links made of the same material. 

They bear inscriptions on the front and stamps in bas-relief on the base. With custom-made box, 20th century.
