Shoushan stamp ‘Dragon and poem’, 20th century

A carved stone of an intense reddish colour. It has a narrow rectangular base, one side of which is decorated with a long, incised poem. On the upper part is an image of a crouching dragon, with its legs tucked under its body, its tail curled up and its head raised, with a ferocious gaze, showing sharp fangs between its open maw. On the base is a seal in bas-relief, with traces of red sealing wax. It shows wear due to age.
