Shoushan stamp ‘Dragons’, 20th century

A carved amber-coloured Shoushan stone with relief and incised details. It depicts two small dragons, with sinuous bodies and a fierce gaze, facing each other over a flaming pearl placed between their jaws, set against a sky of ruyi clouds. On one of the faces there is incised writing. On the base is the seal accompanied by a Ying Yang symbol in the centre. It shows wear due to ageing.
