Description.
Porcelain bowl of circular plan, with a short foot on which is arranged a deep rounded body that widens towards the mouth forming a flared profile.
Decorated in underglaze blue and white, it shows both on the body and on the rim, divided by a double blue line, a continuous scene of beautiful flowering peonies of various sizes, accompanied by thin branches ending in beautiful leaves and scrolls. This scene is repeated on the rim of the inner face. In the center of the bowl, inscribed in a double blue circle, is a beautiful large peony in bloom, covered with small petals and surrounded by scrolls and leaves.
With six-character mark on the base “大明成化年製”
