Description.
Porcelain cup, with a circular base, a narrow foot and a deep body with a curved profile that widens slightly towards the mouth. The outside of the cup is decorated with two decorative bands. The first, next to the foot, shows a network of lotus flowers and curved branches full of leaves. Next are elongated Chinese characters. All of this is executed in iron-red enamel. At the base is a six-character seal in underglaze blue ‘大清同治年制’. There is slight damage to the mouth.
