Small porcelain ‘Landscapes and Poems’ cup, Qing dynasty

This porcelain is modelled in the form of a fine cup with a narrow foot, curved body and slightly flaring mouth. It is profusely decorated with a deep green background with gold-tinted reliefs of curved branches of flowering chrysanthemums. Below this, in reserve, are decorative medallions alternating landscapes and long poems. The interior reveals the soft celadon colour of the porcelain glaze.
