Description.
A small silver jug with a rounded body that stands on a short flared foot. It has a long tubular neck, a curved mouthpiece and a spiral handle that joins the body and neck. The piece is surmounted by a thin lid, on which is placed the image of a small monkey, its tail curled up, its limbs bent and its face turned upside down, while holding a large peach fruit in its hands. The lid is attached to the handle by a long link chain.
It shows age-related wear and patina. Yuan Dynasty (1279 - 1368) or later.
