Small vase with iron oxide enamel, Cizhou Kiln, Jin dynasty

Ceramic modelled in the form of a small vase with a circular base and a globular body, crowned by a narrow, short mouth with a rib in the centre. It is covered with an elegant iron-oxide glaze on a black ground, on which are arranged beautiful copper-coloured flowers in iridescent copper. Cizhou kiln, Jin dynasty (1125-1234) or later.
