Description.
Jade of an intense green hue with subtle dark veins. It has an elliptical base and a flared foot, on which is placed the slender body, with a rounded belly, which narrows at the neck, flanked by two handles in relief, in the shape of a mythical beast, from which two mobile rings hang. The mouth is crowned by a concave lid, which ends in a bulb-shaped handle. The piece is decorated with incised and relief details, such as fretwork borders around the base, mouth and lid, a thick central band of archaic motifs, and a narrow border around the neck decorated with imposing taotie masks. It shows age patina. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
