Description.
Carved agate in the shape of an elongated pod with rounded edges, subtly narrower at the ends. It has a brown or brown colour that serves as a base for the white decorations, with a central eye or circumference framed by two stripes of the same colour.
This type of object was used as part of traditional Buddhist ornaments and elements. It shows a generalised patina caused by the passage of time. Qing dynasty (1644 - 1912) or later.
