Description.
Porcelain in the form of a 'hu' vase on a high flared base. The decoration is in underglaze blue enamel and overglaze enamel, divided into three scenes. The lower one has flying deer and herons in a landscape. The central one depicts elegant ladies in a garden with a large tree and rocks, engaged in various activities. On either side are two reliefs of elephants' heads, like handles, holding a ring with tassels. At the top is a continuous scene with a phoenix in the middle of a lush garden, between paneled or diamond-shaped borders. On the base is a square '大清嘉靖年制' Jiaqing mark in blue.
