Description.
Wool and other materials in tapestry. No marks are observed. It represents a scene with two characters surrounded by a lush garden. One of them is Mercury or Hermes with his flute in front of another man who is possibly Argos, according to the myth. The border that frames the scene is formed by birds, fruits and flowers. It has some cracks, although it is in good condition.
Acquired by a private collector in Belgium, by repute.
