White jade dragon, Eastern Han Dynasty

A jade figure in the form of a dragon, carved on both sides, in white jade. The mythical animal is practically coiled, with the front arms resting on the jaw. The face has sharp teeth that show quite detailed fretwork. The back shows carved spirals and decorative reliefs with the same motif on the sides. In good condition with patina due to age.
