Description.

Hetian white jade figure, carved in one piece, "洒金皮" (Sa jīn pí) in natural colour. The ochre shade on the outside of the skin is due to the concentration of iron oxide. It is distributed in dots or flakes, especially on the back. All the details of the figure are very well executed.

The composition shows a person holding a 'dragonfish', which symbolizes 'good omen' and 'wealth'. In general, the dragon fish has very good meanings such as: a long life, prosperity, abundance, supreme power, noble status... You can make good wishes to this fish because of its auspicious properties. Jade also has properties that augur prosperity and ensure status.
