White jade figurine ‘Monkeys’, Qing dynasty

White jade with subtle amber flecks. Carved in the form of a large mother monkey, together with her two young, all arranged on a coin base. The large mother, carrying a sack on her shoulder, has a serene expression, with large open eyes, flexed legs and a curled tail. The small, playful young stand on the mother's head and under her legs.
