Description.
A white jade bead carved in the shape of a head. The face shows closed, arched eyes, between a 'bindi' dot in the centre of the forehead, and above an elongated nose above a small, smiling mouth. The hair is tied back at the top and the locks are slicked back. It represents the bodhisattva goddess Guanyin. It is pierced through the middle. Ming Dynasty (1368–1644).
