Description.
A small porcelain bowl covered with a fine white glaze. The exterior is decorated by incising or sgraffito with a continuous scene of an elongated five-clawed dragon and a majestic phoenix with a curved beak and large feathers. The Chinese symbol ‘天’, also in sgraffito, is set at the base. Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) or later.
