Description.
Carved wood. The front is decorated in bas-relief with a circle surrounded by clouds encircling two dragons holding a sign with five archaic characters. The back is engraved with a series of characters, polychrome in blue and red, indicating the reason for this commemorative plaque.
Top text "凌烟阁二十四功臣" (Twenty-four heroes of the Lingyan Pavilion); left text "贞观六年太宗御赐" (Royal gift from Emperor Taizong for the sixth year of Zhenguan); Centre text "男儿何不带吴钩/ 收取关山五十州 / 请君暂上凌烟阁 / 若个书生万户侯"; Right text: "大唐"; Text below: "令".
