Wucai ware ‘Scene’ vase, Qing dynasty

Ceramic vase with ‘Wucai’ decoration, with a circular base and rounded body, widest at the shoulders, on which a short neck rests. It is decorated with cobalt-blue underglaze glaze and iron-red, green and yellow glazes. On the belly is a continuous scene that takes place in a garden, full of nature, with large steep rocks, small bushes and banana trees, among which are arranged various nobility figures and a large elephant. The neck and shoulder are adorned with decorative borders of geometric elements and flowering branches.
