Yellow jade plaque ‘Scene’, Qing dynasty

Jade of a smooth, uniform yellow hue, carved in the form of a rectangular plaque with a fine cut-out rim. Adorned with incised and relief details, it shows a narrow sky of ruyi clouds followed by a calm landscape, in which a figure stands with his back to the lake under a tree.  On the reverse is a poem in incised characters. It has age patina. Box enclosed.
