Yixing clay teapot ‘Poem and Bamboo’, mid-20th century

A deep reddish-brown clay, modelled in the shape of a teapot. It has a flat, circular body with two ribs, which narrows at the mouth covered by a lid. The handles and spout are in the shape of a traditional bamboo branch. The upper part is incised with the image of a thin branch and a short poem. On the base there is an embossed mark ‘宜兴蜀山陶业生产合作社出品’.
