Description.
A figure carved in yellow and reddish jade in human form. The figure is performing a dance, balancing on one foot with the other leg bent at the knee, and with the back hand holding a vessel. The other arm is extended forward at chest level. The face is striking, with prominent eyes, a wide nose and mouth, and prominent teeth. During the Han dynasty, dancing, dances and acrobatic performances were a court entertainment and are evidenced by the votive figurines or statuettes included in the tombs, in ceramic or jade. In good condition with reddish patina "沁色" (qìn sè) produced by antiquity.
