A Chinese cinnabar red lacquer box, 19th century

The shape of the base is round and the outline widens in the center. It is decorated with a central scene with a landscape and three characters in the foreground. The background is made with  highly detailed geometric patterns. The inside of the box and the base are lacquered with black lacquer. It has a lack on the inside edge.
