A chinese "thousand faces" fan with lacquered rods, Canton, late 19th century

The fan has lacquered and gilded wooden rods with a country of a gouache painted wallpaper. It is decorated with palace scenes and characters. The rest is elaborated with borders and vegetal motifs.
