A Longquan pottery lotus bowl, Song dynasty

A celadon-blue-green glazed pottery bowl with carved decoration of lotus petals emerging from the foot on the outside. The bowl is semi-circular, open, with a lobed outside and supported by a small circular foot. The glaze reveals the delicately modeled decoration underneath.
