Boquet Brevete, writing desk ‘Silver Medal in Paris’, 1839

French piston inkwell with several side compartments. The decoration on porcelain is notable for its floral theme and a gilt border on a bluish background that surrounds the piece. On the upper lid is the stamp with the manufacturer's inscription. In good condition, it shows slight wear due to age.
