Bronze belt hook, Han Dynasty

A bronze hook, for decorative purposes, designed to be attached to a belt. It has an elongated, fluted shape, ending in a taotie mask at one end and a spiral at the other. The surface is covered with a greenish patina, produced by oxidation of the metal. Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD) or later.
