Carved agate bead, Liao-Jin culture

"Alashan" agate bead with a rounded surface. Connected by a decorative cord (later). It shows patina, due to its age. 

This type of bead is characterized in the "grassland culture", in Chinese "草原文化" (Coyuán wénhuà), to adorn and form part of the regional dress of this culture in China.
