Carved brush pot, "chen xiang" wood, Qing dynasty.

Carved "chen xiang" (沉香) wood that has patina on the relief. It is carved with a half relief on the exterior depicting a continuous scene of a mountainous landscape with pine trees, shrines and characters. The shape is cylindrical but with an irregular profile.
