Carved jade figurine ‘Bird’, Western Zhou dynasty

A greenish-yellow jade pendant carved in the shape of a bird. The animal is lying down, with its head facing forward and its wings folded. The spiral motifs, positioned to represent the wing feathers, stand out. Between the legs there is a hole through the figure to hold some kind of cord. In very good condition, with patina. Western Zhou Dynasty (2nd - 771 BC) or later.
