Carved jade ornament, Zhou dynasty

Made of white jade with brown spots. Ornament ‘玉璜’ (Yù huáng) in a semi-circular shape, with a jagged outline and a surface covered with a relief of a dotted or rice-grain pattern. It has two holes for attaching it to clothing. Zhou Dynasty (2nd - 221 BC) or later.
