Pigments and ink on paper. It shows the depiction of a thin branch with two large peonies in bloom. On the left side is arranged a poem ‘今年北京牡丹开更繁盛，相信明年更开过今年，使我每年修正一次画本’, and next to it, the signature ‘非闇’ (Yu Fei'an, 1889-1959).
