Doucai Porcelain Bowl ‘Scene’, with Kangxi Mark

A small porcelain cup or bowl with a narrow circular foot on which is placed the deep, curved body, which ends in a thin, rounded mouth. It is decorated with ‘Doucai’ enamels, in which underglaze blue and overglaze coloured enamels are arranged on a white background. It shows a small continuous scene of a beautiful landscape with lush trees and lively characters playing in it along with stylized birds. On the base is a six-character seal ‘大清康熙年制’ inscribed in a double blue circle.
