Guanyao pottery vessel, Qing dynasty.
With a four-character Qianlong 乾隆年制 seal in blue on the base. There are also six atifle marks on the base as a result of the firing process.
The pottery has a white glaze that is randomly crackled. It has an irregular, elongated shape with a handle at the top that ends in a nozzle with a hole. This opening faces upwards, as it is the only orifice that must allow both inlet and outlet. Its function was to contain water or some other liquid for later pouring.
The piece is in good condition, with a slight lack.

Note: It preserves its period box and stand. It is made of wood and lined with damask silk decorated with motifs of bats, scrolls and symbols of good luck. The silk has deteriorated.
