'Hulu' vase in pink family porcelain, with Qianlong seal

Porcelain vase modelled in the form of a “Hulu” gourd, composed of two rounded bodies, separated in the centre by a narrow waist adorned, like the foot, by a fine border of geometric motifs in blue on a white background. The body is profusely decorated with “pink family” enamels that stand out on a lime green background, and show intertwined leaves, sinuous foliage and lotuses in bloom. Next to the mouth are arranged, executed in relief, a bat with outstretched wings and a small dragon, both in intense orange with gold details. 

The base shows a six-character seal “大清乾隆年制” executed in underglaze blue.
