Jade ‘River’ plaque, Qing dynasty

Jade of pristine translucent white, carved in the form of a thin rectangular-shaped plaque. It is decorated on both sides with small engraved scenes of a long river flowing between high, steep mountains. The upper area is decorated with geometric elements in an archaic style. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
