Lacquered and polychrome jewelry box, China, 20th century

Octagonal box of lacquered and varnished wood with painted scenes on its faces. The foot forms spirals of openwork leaves and is gilded. The interior is lined with silk damask and on the front there is a lock. It shows wear and faults on the foot.
