Longquan octagonal ceramic vase, Southern Song dynasty (1127 - 1279).
This octagonal-shaped vase is glazed in a lightly crackled celadon-greenish-blue colour with subtle blue veins. It is made with vertical facets on a circular base. The lower body is globular in shape and supports a long straight neck. The density of the glaze is concentrated between the facets and the crackling is more intense on the ribs. The piece is in perfect, unbroken condition.
The piece is in perfect condition with no breaks or restorations.
