Pair of ceramic ‘Lions’ figures, Qing Dynasty

Ceramic covered with a thick bluish glaze with purple and greenish flecks. Modelled in the form of two ferocious foo lions, standing on a rounded base, seated on their hind legs, with raised heads and large open jaws with sharp fangs framed by a luxuriant curly mane.
