Porcelain vase ‘Hulu’ pink family, with Qianlong seal

Porcelain modelled in the form of a ‘Hulu’ gourd, with two rounded bodies, joined in the centre by a narrow waist, which, like the foot, is decorated with a fine border of geometric motifs in blue on a white background. The body is decorated with ‘pink-family’ enamels that stand out against a green background and show intertwining leaves, winding rouleaux and lotuses in bloom. Next to the mouth are a bat with outstretched wings and a small dragon, both in bright orange with gilt details, executed in relief. On the base is a six-character seal ‘大清乾隆年制’ in underglaze blue.
