Porcelain water vessel with peach-skin glaze, Qing dynasty

A porcelain vessel decorated with a beautiful reddish mottled or ‘peach-skin’ glaze. It has a circular base from which the dome-shaped body emerges, culminating in a narrow turned-up mouth. On the base is a six-character seal in underglaze blue ‘大清乾隆年制’.
