Soapstone censer ‘Beasts’ 20th century

A carved soapstone of a deep yellow colour. It has a circular foot in the shape of a lotus throne, and a rounded body with relief details, flanked by two curved dragon-shaped handles. A concave lid, with openwork vegetal motifs and crowned by a footed lion, completes the composition. The base is stamped in bas-relief.
