Victorian game table, England, 19th century

Victorian mahogany wood carved and assembled game table. It consists of two folding swivel tops that extend to provide the playing surface. The crossbar is carved, moulded and sculpted. It is held in the centre by a cylindrical leg resting on a base with four lion feet.
