Water vessel with ‘Geyao’ glaze, Song dynasty

Ceramic modelled in the form of a quadrangular vessel with a flat base and a rim with rounded edges. Covered with a beautiful ‘Geyao’ or ‘哥窑’ glaze, with an ochre-coloured celadon ground, highlighting a beautiful network of crackles produced by firing. Song Dynasty (960-1379) or later.
